Quarter 4 is right around the corner, and we have seen many companies make a change in their executive c-suite this year. Today, Chief Executives Council will focus on 10 chief executives officers (CEOs) that have accepted new roles in September.

Nike Names Elliott Hill as New CEO

Nike announced that former senior executive Elliott Hill will rejoin the company to succeed John Donahoe as president and CEO, as the sportswear giant shakes up its leadership amid efforts to revive sales and battle rising competition. Hill was at Nike for 32 years, started as an intern, and held senior leadership positions across Europe and North America.

Red Lobster Names Damola Adamolekun as New CEO

Red Lobster, has appointed Damola Adamolekun as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Known for his expertise, the 35-year-old is brought to guide the company through its restructuring process having filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, after accruing over $1 billion in debt.

Kind Names Daniel Calderoni as New CEO

Mars’ Kind Snacks named Daniel Calderoni as CEO of its North American operations. Calderoni brings more than 20 years of global experience leading consumer brands at Mars and Unilever. He will report to Blas Maquivar, global president of health and wellness at Mars Snacking. Calderoni most recently served as the general manager for Mars Pet Nutrition in Canada.

Ipsy Names Galen Smith as New CEO

Beauty membership firm Ipsy announced the appointment of Galen Smith to the role of chief executive officer. With over two decades of public company leadership and expertise in membership-based business models, Smith joins the Los Angeles-based firm from Redbox Entertainment, where he served as chief executive officer for six years.

Alpine Group Names Keenan Austin Reed as New CEO

Alpine Group has announced that Keenan Austin Reed will be their next CEO. Keenan, a Capitol Hill veteran, has spent the past decade guiding and advising principals in all levels of government. In her role as Chief of Staff, she served as the Congressman’s top policy advisor and an advisor to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where she crafted strategies to elevate the Congressman’s work as a national leader on climate change, environmental justice and rural broadband.

Zywave Names Martin Simoncic as New CEO

Insurance technology provider Zywave said Martin Simoncic is its new chief executive officer. Simoncic most recently served as president of PROS Holdings, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions company using artificial intelligence. Here he also held roles as chief customer officer and vice president of production management. Previously, Simoncic was vice president of customer success and professional services at Zywave competitor Vertafore.

Rite Aid Names Matt Schroeder as New CEO

The Rite Aid Corporation has named Matt Schroeder as the company’s new chief executive officer. His appointment comes the same say the drug store chain has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.  Schroeder has been with Rite Aid since 2000 and most recently served as the company’s chief financial officer. He succeeds Jeffrey S. Stein, who has stepped down as CEO and chief restructuring officer in connection with the company’s emergence from Chapter 11.

Fossil Group Names Franco Fogliato as New CEO

Franco Fogliato is stepping in as Fossil Group’s new CEO, taking the reins from interim chief Jeffrey Boyer. Fogliato brings heavyweight experience to the watch and accessories maker. He most recently led Salomon, where he refreshed the sports equipment brand and boosted its bottom line. According to Fossil, Fogliato led a “successful turnaround” of the business, streamlining operations, refreshing the brand identity, and driving strong revenue and profit growth.

RadNet Names Kees Wesdorp as New CEO

RadNet Inc. has hired a leader from a San Francisco-based private equity firm as the new president and CEO of its Digital Health Division. Kees Wesdorp, PhD, comes to the Los Angeles imaging center chain by way of Hellman & Friedman, which he joined in 2023 as managing director. He’ll become part of RadNet’s executive management team and assume leadership of its digital products and services in radiology informatics and artificial intelligence.

Tonal Names Darren MacDonald as New CEO

Darren MacDonald

Smart-home gym brand Tonal has named Darren MacDonald its new CEO. MacDonald joins the fitness brand from Petco, where he served as chief customer officer and chief marketing officer. He previously managed Walmart’s U.S. e-commerce entertainment business and held positions with Jet.com, IAC and Avery Dennison.
